This is my new website. You've probably realised that already, but there it is. My hosting company was putting up their prices so I looked around to see what other service providers were offering, and ended up deciding to change to Quadra hosting. There wasn't really anything wrong with my old provider, but Quadra was offering a bit more for the money. And they run on FreeBSD so it's all good.

So new web host. And since the old website was pretty boring and hadn't been touched for ages, I decided to refresh it. I've put together a basic blog, and the challenge will be to keep it updated. I'm making no promises, so don't keep your hopes up. Apparently the word blog is one of the most irritating words on the internet, so I guess I'm already on the back foot.

If you want to add comments, you'll need to hit the register button up the top. If something doesn't work quite right, please let me know and I'll get it fixed. This is all new, and chances are I've overlooked something, but hopefully it'll hang together. Oh, if you're using Internet Explorer 6 (or earlier!) things might look a little odd every now and then (I use a lot of transparent pngs for example) but really, get with the times.

I went and saw the Transformers movie last weekend - for some reason it actually came out here before the States.. I guess there's a first time for everything. It could have been terrible, but it actually works pretty well. I'm not sure what makes it good. It's cheesy, over the top, flashy, and unbelievable. But it's still pretty entertaining. It's full of cool action sequences, and the animation is impressive. As far as the story goes, I've heard people complain that it takes certain liberties from the cartoon series. I never really got into the cartoon that much (I spent a lot of time playing with the toys though) so that wasn't really an issue for me.

Work has been fairly busy, finalising a new version of our software and getting it out to customers. It looks like I'll be heading up to Sydney for a few days soon with Sproose so that should be fun.
