I'm sitting in an internet cafe in Cusco, Peru. Dave, Dan, Ben and I got to Cusco on Tuesday morning and met up with Chris and P.J. We set off straight away on a bus trip through the Sacred Valley, and stayed the next two nights in small villages along the way. We have done some climbing and explored some of the smaller Inca ruins. We came back to Cusco today, and will be starting a 5 day hike to Macchu Pichu tomorrow morning.
I picked up a cold just before leaving Melbourne, and I'm still getting used to the altitude (about 3300m above sea level), so I'm not feeling 100%, but we're still having a good time. Chris and P.J. have been travelling around South America for a few months already, and have picked up enough Spanish to get by, which is lucky - not many people speak English here.
